Problem: A landscape architecture firm wanted to update their brand & website to fuel future growth.

Solution: A new brand with a high-performing headless website that integrates easy-to-use content management & modern email marketing tools… without any loss in SEO.

Step 1 – Build the brand script

  • Interviewed numerous stakeholders including Dougan team members, customers, and suppliers. 
  • Presented our findings at a day of brainstorming in Guelph with the Dougan leadership team
  • Produced a brand script document that became the basis for future design and copy creation

Step 2 – Site architecture & media gathering

Guided by the brand script, we built out a strategic site structure.

Step 3 – Design roundtable

Next, we brought key Dougan team members together for a design roundtable. Using fun and interactive software, we got input from the team on their favourite designs and incorporated their thinking into the new site.

Step 4 – Design wireframes

We presented the initial concept, using the brand script as a foundation and incorporating elements from their new logo. We used collaborative design software to collect & incorporate feedback from their distributed team quickly and efficiently.

Step 5 – Development & Launch

Once the design was confirmed, our developers built the site using Headless architecture and we scheduled a launch day!
